2011 Fringe Program Info For Advertisers
February 1, 2011The master program for the 2011 Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival is made possible through ad sponsorship and grant funding. This printed piece contains comprehensive information on all things Fringe related to ensure patrons have a successful experience. Whether you are an artist who wants to promote your show or a fan of the Fringe who wants to promote your business or organization, the program is a great way to get in front of Fringe goers.
If you want your print ad to be included, here’s what you need to know:
The actual program has the following specs:
Flat: 12″ x 9″
Finished: 6″w x 9″h
Flat Pages: 19
Finished Pages: 76 (including cover)
Ink: 4C- non bleed
Stock: 60# Text
Finishing: Folded once/ saddle stitched stapling
All ads are non-bleed except for the back cover ad. This is being run on a digital press so your ad is either black and white or color. There are no spot color options. Size your ad to the following specs; it already contains a safety margin:
• Full Page: 5.75″w x 8.75″h
• 1/2 Page: 5.75″w x 4.25″h
• 1/4 Page: 2.75″w x 4.25″h
File Requirements
- We will accept a high-res print ready PDF, 300dpi JPEG or an eps file with all embedded images, source files and fonts converted to outlines. We would prefer you to export the art to a HR PDF so there is absolutely no room for error with your native working files once sent.
- Do NOT send us a Publisher file, Word Doc, PowerPoint, Gif, PNG or an iPhone photo of a napkin drawing you did on a Saturday night.
- Also, changing the file extension to say .eps DOES NOT make it an eps file. If you are not familiar with design programs, we can design your ad for you for $350 or $275 if you can convince us you are a starving artist.
- Please name your artwork by your show name and/or production company. Do NOT name your files “fringe ad”. As you can imagine, 66 files with that name can get very confusing!!
- All ads should be sent to my attention (see contact page). If it is too big to send via email, please use www.yousendit.com or www.sendspace.com (both of which are free).
Things To Note
- If you have no idea what you should put in your layout, please download the 2009 Festival program to see what types of ads have been done before. The sky is pretty much the limit. Keep in mind what you want readers to do. If you are a show, promote yourself with discounts, times and why someone would want to see you. If you are a business or organization, consider including a call-to-action, offering discounts for Fringe patrons or blabbing about why Beth Marshall is a goddess.
- You may use the Fringe logo in your ad. You can download a PDF and JPEG file here.
- We are the design company contracted by the Fringe to do the marketing, but we are not the Fringe. If you have payment questions, would like to reserve space or have general questions that are not production concerns, please contact George Wallace george@orlandofringe.org
